As reported by The Verge (19/09), Sony has started to develop their SmartGlass extensively by launching software kit for developers who want to create applications for smart glasses first Japanese-owned company. Sony also promised named SmartEyeglass smart glasses will be purchased at the end of March next year.
SmartEyeglass also comes with a design that is quite different from the Google Glass. SmartGlass is carrying the frame is quite thick and looks futuristic compared to the Google Glass is the concept of minimalism.
No less sophisticated with Google Glass, SmartGlass 3D Sony comes with a 3 MP camera and various sensors such as accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, and light sensor. In addition, SmartEyeglass equipped with a microphone and a box big enough battery.
By presenting its own software kit, Sony hopes the developer will redesign smartphone applications that can be used in SmartEyeglass. Sony's strategy differs from Google is making its own app ecosystem for Google Glass.
